|All applicants must fully complete the online form, pay the nominated fee and agree to the participant agreement before their entry is accepted. Athletics North Queensland (ANQ) reserves the right, in its reasonable discretion, to deny or disqualify any person from participating or continuing in the event (before or during). Entry fees and registrations are non-transferable from one competitor to another or from one event to another unless by the process outlined below. It is forbidden to participate in an event under another competitor’s name. Competitors that do not obey this rule waive all insurance coverage and put other competitors at risk.
By entering participants acknowledge that participation involves the real risk of serious injury or even death from various causes including over exertion, on and off course accidents, equipment failure, other road users, spectators, courses conditions weather conditions, and /or unforeseen circumstances. All entrants understand that they should not compete in this event unless they have trained the necessary amount and a medical practitioner has verified suitable physical condition. It is each entrant sole responsibility to ensure such training and medical verification. Entrants also acknowledge that the leading cause (more than 90%) of non-traumatic sudden death of athletes is related to a pre-existing cardiac abnormality.
By entering this event and competing, participants accept all risks associated from participation that could result in the loss of life or permanent injury and also agree that ANQ is not responsible or liable for the repair or replacement of any personal possessions whether lost, damaged, stolen or otherwise. Accordingly, you release all people associated with the conduct of this event form and waive all claims whatsoever, and will indemnify them against all liability (including liability for their negligence) for all injury, loss, damage arising out of or connected with my participation in this event. The aforesaid release, waiver, indemnity applies to and includes the people such as, but are not limited to ANQ, Townsville City Council, Townsville Road Runners, Townsville Sports Reserve, contracted companies and all public authorise, all employees, agents, sponsors contractors and volunteers, medical and paramedical staff, and other competitors including medical and paramedical staff. This release, waiver and indemnity continue forever and bind my heirs, executors and personal representatives.
I consent to receive any medical treatment the event medical team and/or event organisers believes appropriate in the circumstances before, during or after the event.
Entrants consent to the event organisers adding their email address to the event ENews and agree to receive emails up to the date of that event. After which time participants can unsubscribe from future emails by using the link within the emails.
Entrants acknowledge and understand that safety precautions undertaken at the event are merely a service to me but are note a guarantee of safety I will provide event organisers in writing all details of my past and present medical or physical conditions that may affect mu performance or be relevant if medical treatment is necessary.
I consent to event organisers using my name, image and likeness, before, during or after the event for event promotional broadcasting or reporting purposes in any media.
Entrants hereby agree that in the event of a race cancellation due to storm rain, inclement weather, winds or other “act of go” conditions, my entry free shall be non-refundable. Fees Incomplete entries or declined payment truncations may incur additional administrative fees. Method of Entry Race entry via secure online registrations only. Refund/ Cancellation
The following refund fees are applicable for cancellations depending on when the result us received. Notification of withdrawal from the course in writing or via email:
Up to 30 days prior to commencement of the Run = 75% refund
Up to 14 days prior to commencement of the Run = 50% refund
Less than 14 days prior to commencement of the Course = No refund not withstanding other than extenuating circumstances

By Entering all participants consent information from this form can be used by venue owners and government agencies for COVID-19 contact tracing as part of the public health response.
